The Golden Hour

The Golden Hour
Archival inkject prints on plywood structure, mixed media, monitors, digital video
14x10x3.5 feet

Created for “Near & Dear”, a group exhibition at Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, curated by Carrie Moyer , September 2017.

The little room where my family lives, where we’ve raised our daughter through her first year is inverted, reimagined as a space circumscribed by our bodies.

The structuring of size and shape relationships is also inspired by my grandfather’s mother-of-pearl inlay backgammon table — lines of influence.

Experiments with a 360-degree video camera also influenced this inversion of space relationships.

Picnic Thief performance at do-it (Outside)

Performance for Hans Ulrich Obrist’s do it , an anthology of performance instructions at Socrates Sculpture Park, 5/12/13:

For the event, I fused performance instructions by Michaelangelo Pistoletto, Gabriel Sierra, Elmgreen and Dragset, and Andreas Slominski which resulted in an enlarged version of that mornings NYTimes operating as a picnic blanket, which was later followed by a performance in a tree. Videography by Karen Hwang.
