Some amazing William-Kentridge-style animations by my beginning drawing students. One of the major issues I have with early drawing students is to get them to be willing to doublecheck measurements in their drawings and revise. Having to adapt to a changing subject in the world in the production of an animation is a great way to force the issue. When no single state of the drawing is the “finished” version, students will be more open, experimental. Some of this folks did their best drawing of the short 6-week semester during this 6 hour session. (Laguardia Community College)
